What is your email list?
My email list, entitled "Foxhole Dispatches," is my way of staying connected with my friends who want to keep up with my goings-on in comedy outside of the usual social-networking sites.

What kinda stuff does this thing have in it, exactly?
It will contain all sorts of things. A typical dispatch usually includes a running calendar of show dates, a section entitled What I'm Digging (in which I plug something that I recently enjoyed, be that a book, an album, or even a news article I found interesting or entertaining), a short essay written by me on any topic of my choosing, and usually some sort of link to a recent video or a piece of writing I posted elsewhere.

How often do you send these things out?
I send them on the 1st & 15th of every month.

Why an email list? Why not just use Facebook, Twitter, etc? That's the wave of the future, maaaaaan!
Those sites, while great for staying updated, will only be around for a limited time (not to mention all of the dubious privacy-compromising policies that seem to pop up as of late). Using email is a great way to stay directly connected without having to rely on all the middlemen.

But you're not going to use my email for evil purposes, right?
